QUESTION: When a bill clears its first chamber and moves on to the second chamber, do RTS opinions rendered in the first chamber accompany bill to the second chamber?
Efforts to obtain a straight answer from AZLEG IT folks have so far proven unsuccessful. But working with the site, there is every evidence that votes and comments do not carry over. Therefore, that is the position we recommend that everyone adopt for now.
This means that we have to render an opinion again when the bill begins consideration in the second chamber. However, this is not as difficult as it may seem at first. Here is how to do it.
- Log in as usual, and click on “new request”
- If the blue button at the far right reads “add request”, proceed as usual.
- If the blue button at the far right reads “update request”, click on it.
- On the screen that comes up, simply click on “update”, and you are done.
- However, you may want to take this opportunity to actually change something, like adding or editing comments before clicking on “update”.
